Walter's Stitches Are Out!

How much do we LOVE Timonium Animal Hospital? According to Justin, everyone this morning stopped by to give Walter some love. He was back there this morning to get additional vaccines and his stitches out - while he did not appreciate the sutures being removed from his privates, he is very happy to be out of his collar/donut. Somehow Walter managed to slip out of his donut during the night - we don’t know how, exactly, but it’s clear to me that his patience with it has run out.

Everyone at Timonium has really been rooting for Walter and thinks he has a wonderful personality. This is nice to hear because I imagine it’s a little like having a kid - you may think your child is beautiful, but it’s always lovely to hear that someone objective thinks that.

Unfortunately for the poor dog, Walter has developed what looks like a pussy blister on his foot. He needs some antibiotics and to get the foot soaked - it’s no big deal, I just feel bad that he has one more thing to deal with.

Much better news is that Walter is spending a long weekend with a potential adopter! We are really excited and have our fingers crossed that it works out. We would miss Walter terribly, but we know he needs a house with no cats. Plus, we know that foster/rescue work is not for everyone - while it’s always hard to say good-bye, we know that the next animal in need is just down the road, which is why we created Walter Rescue.
