Walter and Halloween
A bunch of people who attended our Halloween party have asked for Walter’s costume pictures. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to work my husband’s fancy schmancy camera, so the pictures I took of Walter (who was a lifeguard) are terrible. If you are reading this and snapped pictures of him at the party, please pass them along!
Walter did incredibly well at the party. There were about 20 people, and he greeted people and then would go back to sleep. He did occasionally woof at trick or treaters, but that’s his general response when someone knocks at the door. It’s never aggressive, it’s more like, “Newmans, you should know there is someone at the door.” He was so well behaved at the party, it was like a public service announcement for pit bulls.
Walter gets his stitches out on Thursday, as well as his booster shots. He also has what looked like an interdigital cyst on his foot, which is pretty common for his type of dog. It’s no big deal, it just looks gross - between that and his scars Walter is not the most photogenic of dogs, but he makes up for it in his oodles of love to give.
He’s also a great listener - I will chat away sometimes about my day and he’ll just sit there, while Simon, the orange cat, will start meowing back. I think it is pretty normal to talk to one’s animals - it’s when they start talking back that you worry.
