Farewell to Walter; Hello to Brooks and Lewis

November 18, 2009

We are delighted to announce that Walter’s adoption is official. He is living a great life with a wonderful woman named Meaghan, pictured here with him. Walter is now a Terps fan, and has lots of people giving him lots of love. We are grateful to everyone who supported us, from Mid-Atlantic Bully Buddies to the good folks at Sinai Hospital, and especially to my coworkers in the LifeBridge Health Marketing Department. Of course, the biggest thanks goes to Meaghan, who followed this blog and took a chance on our humble puppy. We plan to stay in touch, and will post updates when appropriate on Walter as he continues his journey.

But as I have mentioned before, there are always animals in need. Walter Rescue is continuing, and we already have two new kittens
in need of homes.
Brooks (gray, female) and Lewis (white and black, male) are a brother/sister pair pictured here. They are about three months and three pounds, and were spayed/neutered on Monday at the Maryland SPCA clinic. They were also vaccinated. Brooks and Lewis are a little skittish, but do not bite or scratch, and like being held.

They are making the adjustment to being indoor cats, and I am optimistic we can find them a loving home. If you are interested, you can e-mail us at walter (at) walterrescue.org.
